Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Red Alert (the “Service”), operated by TradeTools (“we,” “us”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. The Service

Red Alert is an inform-only comparison tool for construction materials and tools. We aggregate pricing, availability, distance, and review signals from third-party sources and link you to the retailer, a phone call, or directions. We do not sell goods, take payment for goods, or fulfill orders, and we are not a party to any transaction you make with a retailer.

3. Accounts

Gated features require a free account. Authentication is provided by our identity provider, Clerk; you may sign up with an email or with “Continue with Google.” You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at info@tradesource.app.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no automated scraping or bulk data extraction, reverse engineering, circumventing rate limits or access controls, attempts to disrupt the Service, or any use that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

5. Subscriptions & billing

The Service offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription (“Red Alert Pro”). If you subscribe, the following apply:

• Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. The current price and billing interval are shown at checkout and on our pricing page.
• Auto-renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel.
• Cancellation. You may cancel anytime from your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals; you retain Pro access through the end of the current paid period.
• Refunds. Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at info@tradesource.app and we will review it in good faith.
• Price changes. We may change subscription prices; changes apply to the next billing period after we give you notice.
• Taxes. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

6. How we make money & affiliate links

Some outbound “View” links to retailers are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you. This never affects which products we show or how we rank them — we surface prices from all sources on the same basis. Paid subscriptions are our other source of revenue.

7. Third-party information & pricing

Prices, stock, store details, and any figures produced by document (invoice or take-off) analysis come from third parties or automated estimation and may be inaccurate, delayed, or out of date. Online prices mapped to a local branch are estimates — confirm with the retailer before relying on them. We make no warranty as to accuracy and are not liable for decisions made based on the information shown.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $100.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be reflected here. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located there, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
